Real Estate in East Bay

Most of my clients in the past have been inquiring which part of the United States is best to buy homes and other real estate properties. Most of the time, I would recommend them to stay in cities such as Oakland, Alameda, Dublin and Emeryville. Geographically, these cities are to the east of San Francisco Bay and along with other cities and unincorporated communities, this area have been called as the East Bay. East Bay was not a formal location, it was just a term used to describe the communities in the area. However, as these cities have become in demand, East Bay has been used often. Originally, the Alameda County was not a part of East Bay but as the area gained prominence it was incorporated even reaching as far as Pittsburg. Aside from the abovementioned cities, East Bay area also include Albany, Berkeley, Concord, Danville, Hercules, Livermore, Oakley, Richmond and many more others. These cities are known for their highly developed communities and neighborhoods.

In terms of weather, East Bay and most of its cities boasts a Mediterranean weather which is a distinct characteristic of cities surrounding the San Francisco Bay area. It is classified by warm yet dry summer as well as a cool and wet winter. A lot of people come to East Bay not only to enjoy the warm Pacific waves but also when winter in other areas of the United States become too unbearable. The weather in East Bay has been one of the most popular reasons why clients in my past transactions has been kept going back to me searching for an available estate in the East Bay area.

In terms of transportation in the East Bay area, you won’t have a hard time going around the area. You can use the various interstates as well as the state routes. Some of the interstate route includes 80, 980, 580, 880 and 680. State Route 4 and 24 are two state routes that serve as the major highway in East Bay. Aside from the interstates, you can also use the rail transit service. Bay Area Rapid Transit commonly called as BART connects several of the cities in the area as well as connection to San Francisco. Ferry service as well as bus service is also available. If you are not fond of vehicles, East Bay area promotes bicycle transportation and there are cities which have bicycle designated zone.
